or outstanding success. Many of the most notable playwrights
of the era are represented, including:
Eugene O'Neill, Ayn Rand, Lillian Hellman, Maxwell Anderson,
Somerset Maugham, J.B. Priestley, Jean-Paul Sartre, Bertold Brecht,
Edgar Wallace and Agatha Christie . Each of the plays featured revolves
around murder, theft, chicanery, kidnapping, political intrigue,
or espionage.

Amnon Kabatchnik has dedicated his life to theatre. He received his MFA in
Directing from the Yale University School of Drama. He directed innumerable plays
Off–Broadway and with road companies, regional theatres, summer stock, and
abroad. Amnon was a Professor of Theatre at SUNY Binghamton, Stanford University,
Ohio State University, Florida State University, and Elmira College. He wrote a
weekly column of book and movie reviews for The Tallahassee Democrat, The
Corning Leader, and the Elmira Star-Gazette, and contributed articles and reviews to
The Armchair Detective, Mystery News, Clues, and other journals in the field of
suspense.
Amnon now lives in Santa Monica, California.
